Journal of Kastamonu University Faculty of Health Sciences includes recent authentic studies such as clinical and experimental articles, reviews and case reports related to health science. The journal requires in its publications that they follow the ethical rules and be written according to the scientific standards and not seek for commercial concerns.

In the journal, authentic researches, review articles and case reports in the field of Nursing,  Nutrition and Dietetics, Management of Health Facilities, Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation,  Social Service and all other health professions are published. It is required that the scientific writings which are submitted not be published anywhere before and under the revision of any journals for publication. Scientific writings which don’t follow the publication rules will not be evaluated.

1. GENERAL INFORMATION
- It is required that the studies submitted to publish not be published anywhere before or under the revision of any journal for publication.
- If there are any quoted writings, tables, pictures etc. in the article, the writer of the article must get the permission of the owner and the writer of the right of publication and cite that in the article.
- Writings which were presented in the scientific meetings are evaluated on the condition that it is proclaimed.
In Turkish articles, Turkish dictionary of Turkish Language Association or http://www.tdk.org.tr its web address and also Turkish Medical Association’s’ glossary related to their own field must be used as base.
- The way how sample width is stated, how sampling is done and which biostatistical methods and principles are used in data analysis must be given under the title of “Statistical Analysis” at the end of the “MATERIALS AND METHODS”.
2. SCIENTIFIC RESPONSIBILITY
• All the writers must directly contribute academically-scientifically in the scientific writing which is submitted.
• The writer who is in touch with the journal is responsible for the last version of the writing in the name of all the writers.
3. ETHICAL RESPONSIBILITY
• Compliance with The Principles of Helsinki Declaration must be required in all the studies including “human” factor. In this kind of studies, writers are supposed to state in the “MATERIALS AND METHODS” part that they did the study in compliance with the principles and have taken the informed consent of the ethical councils and the other people participating the study.

• If “Animal” factor is used in the study, writers are supposed to state in the “MATERIALS AND METHODS” part that they have protected the animal right according to the principles of Guide for the Care and Use of Laboratory Animals and they have taken ethics committee approval.

• In case reports, patient’s informed consent must be taken regardless of the patient’s identity.
• If there is a direct/indirect commercial connection or an institution sponsoring in the article, writers must state that they have no commercial relationship with the commercial product, medicine, company etc. and if any, what kind of a relationship they have (consultant, other agreements).
• If it is necessary that “ethics committee approval” be taken, writers must declare that they have taken the ethics committee approval in the “Materials and Methods” part.
4. RIGHT OF PUBLICATION/COPYRIGHT
• Our journal belongs to copyrights of all the writings accepted to publish in our journal. Writers are responsible for the ideas and suggestions in their writings.
• For each article, writers must fill in “JOURNAL OF KASTAMONU UNİVERSİTY FACULTY OF HEALTH SCİENCES JOURNAL FORM OF COPYRIGHT TRANSFER” and submit the journal with the article.
5. TYPES OF WRITING
• The publishing language in Turkish and English.
• The types of the writing to submit the journals must be in the categories below and be prepared in the defined patterns.
a) Original Research: Prospective, retrospective and all kinds of experimental studies.

b) Review: It must be written by the direct or invitee writers. It can be prepared according to the latest medical literature for every kind of medical subject. Published materials related to the subject must be preferred.

c) Case report: They are articles seen rarely and differing in diagnose and therapy. They must be supported by enough photos and/or schemas.

PREPARING THE PAPER:

1. Microsoft Word ® is the preferred file type.
2. Texts must be leaned on both sides aligned and have 1  line spacing, 12-point font size and “Times New Roman” font style. The required margins are 2,5 cm above, left, right and below. Page number must be added to upper right corner of all pages.
3. Authors must state that the paper is not submitted for publication elsewhere and what is the category of the paper in the editorial board page. If there are support from other people and organizations, it should be stated with explaining what their relation to the authors is.
4. Cover page must include paper’s heading (Turkish and English), authors’ names, academic titles and affiliated institutions, also corresponding author should be stated with an address, relevant phone and fax numbers, and an email address. For the conference papers which have been previously presented; conference title, date and place must be stated.
5. Turkish papers must include abstract and extended abstract  in English. Abstract should not exceed 250 words. Extended abstracts should at least 500 words for research articles, 300 words for reviews and 250 words for case reports.

KEYWORDS:
Careful selection of keywords will make researchers to find a published paper. While selecting keywords, their representation, number and relation to standardized terminology should be considered as it is very important for a paper to be referred and to promote science.
a) At least 2 words, in Turkish and English
b) There must be semicolons (;) between keywords.
c) Keywords in English must be written according to “Medical Subject Headings (MESH)”. For the selection of keywords, related words under the subjects can be decided from the following link. (http://www.nlm.nih.gov/mesh/MBrowser.html).
d) Keywords in Turkish must be written according to Turkish Science Terminology (Türkiye Bilim Terimleri) (http://www.bilimterimleri.com).
• ABBREVIATIONS:
For the first reference to a term, the term should be used in full with the abbreviation included in brackets. For the remainder of the text the abbreviation should be used. “Scientific style and format: the CBE manual for authors, editors, and publishers” can be used for international use of abbreviations.
• FIGURES, PICTURES, TABLES AND GRAPHICS:
1. Quality and contrast of Figures/Pictures/Photographs must be fine enough for the details. (.tif, .png, .jpg or .gif as a file format and approximately 500x400 pixels, 8 cm width and 300 dpi resolution), they must be uploaded to the system in a separate file while submitting the paper.
2. In-text citation of figures, pictures, tables and graphics statements as (Table 1), (Figure 1) must be used in related sentences.
3. All tables with headings must be placed in a new page after references.
4. Headings of tables must be above the table, first letters capitalized (e.g. Table 1). If there are abbreviations or symbols in the table, they must be explained under it in 8 points.
5. Under headings of Figures/Pictures/Photographs must be in a new page after the page for tables written in an order and including explanation of abbreviations in brackets.
6. Figures, pictures, tables and graphics which have been published before must have written permission that will be stated in brackets in the explanation of figures, pictures, tables and graphics.

• ACKNOWLEDGMENT:
Any conflict of interest, financial support, donation and other editorial support (English/Turkish evaluation) or technical support must be stated at the end of the paper.
• Other citations in text must be written with double-quote. There should not be double-quote in double-quote.
• A citation from a journal or a book must be used with double-quote in the paper with its heading.
• Technical term must be italic for the first time, then normal writing style must be used.
• Abbreviations must be in brackets for the first time, then normal writing style must be used.
• Citation from a website which does not have page number must include paragraph number. For example: (Dursun, 2009, Parag. 10).

Journal of Kastamonu University Faculty of Health Sciences covers clinical and experimental original articles, reviews and case reports on health sciences. Magazine; In the articles it publishes, it seeks to comply with the relevant ethical rules and scientific standards, and not to have commercial concerns.
Works submitted for publication must not have been previously published elsewhere or submitted for publication.
If the article was previously published; quotations, tables, pictures, etc. If available, the article author must obtain written permission from the copyright holder and authors and state this in the article. Legal responsibility in this matter belongs to the authors.
Manuscripts presented at scientific meetings are evaluated, provided that it is stated.
For articles in Turkish, the Turkish dictionary of the Turkish Language Association or the address http://www.tdk.org.tr (http://www.tdk.org.tr/) and the dictionary of terms belonging to their own branches of the Turkish Medical Associations should be taken as basis.
How the sample size is determined, how sampling is done, and which biostatistical methods and principles are used in data analysis. MATERIALS AND METHODS” should be given under the subtitle of “Statistical Analysis” at the end of the section.
SCIENTIFIC RESPONSIBILITY
All authors must have a direct academic-scientific contribution to the submitted scientific paper.
The author, who is responsible for communicating with the journal, is responsible for the final version of the article on behalf of all authors.
The author who communicates with the journal is obliged to forward the "AUTHOR CONTRIBUTION FORM (https://dergipark.org.tr/tr/journal/711/file-manager/15437/download)" to the journal.
ETHICAL RESPONSIBILITY
The principle of compliance with the Principles of the Declaration of Helsinki (http://www.wma.net/en/30publications/10policies/b3/index.html) is sought in all studies involving the "human" element. In the presence of such studies, the authors should state that they carried out the study in accordance with these principles under the heading "2.1 Ethical dimension of the study" in the 2. MATERIALS AND METHODS section of the article, and that they obtained "informed consent" from the ethical committees of their institutions and the people who participated in the study.
If the "Animal" item is used in the study, the authors state "2.1 Guide for the Care and Use of Laboratory Animals (http://grants.nih.gov/grants/olaw/Guide- for-the-care-and-use-of-laboratory-animals.pdf) principles, they should state that they protect animal rights in their work and that they have received approval from the ethics committees of their institutions.
In case reports, "informed consent" should be obtained from the patients regardless of the identity of the patient, and it should be stated that informed consent was obtained under the heading "2.1 Ethical dimension of the study" in the 2. MATERIALS AND METHODS section of the article.
If the article has a direct-indirect commercial connection or an institution that provides financial support for the study, the authors; They should indicate on the submission page to the editor that they have no commercial relationship with the commercial product, drug, company used or, if any, what kind of relationship they have (consultant, other agreements). Whether or not there is a conflict of interest, all authors must fill out the conflict of interest declaration form, and the responsible author must upload the documents prepared separately for each author to the system. Conflict of interest declaration form can be accessed from the spelling rules page.
If “Ethics Committee Approval” is required for the article, the authors state that they have obtained ethics committee approval in “2. Material and Methods” section, "2.1 Under the heading of the ethical dimension of the research" should be declared. If ethics committee approval is not required, it should be explained why ethics committee approval is not required under the heading "2.1 Ethical dimension of the research" in the materials and methods section.
PUBLICATION/COPYRIGHT
All publications/copyrights of the articles accepted for publication belong to our journal. The thoughts and suggestions in the articles are entirely the responsibility of the authors.

The authors who are found to have acted contrary to the conditions specified in the HEALTH ACADEMY KASTAMONU COPYRIGHT TRANSFER FORM
articles are rejected at the pre-control and evaluation stages, and deleted from the journal records during the editing stage. In addition, future articles submitted by authors who behave in violation of the conditions specified in the HEALTH ACADEMY KASTAMONU COPYRIGHT TRANSFER FORM will be rejected at the pre-control stage and no refereeing invitation will be sent to these authors.

Kastamonu Üniversitesi Sağlık Bilimleri Fakültesi Dergisi, tıp, sosyal ve sağlık bilimleri ile ilgili multidisipliner alanlarda klinik ve deneysel özgün makaleler, derlemeler, olgu sunumları, video kayıtları, görüntü tasarımları ve çalışmaları içermektedir. Derginin amacı, tıp, sağlık bilimleri ve sağlığı ilgilendiren sosyal alanlarla ilgili makaleler yayınlamanın yanı sıra multidisipliner makalelerin yanı sıra video kaydı/sağlıkla ilgili sanatsal tasarımlar gibi farklı yayınlara ortam sağlamaktır.
